Question

404 on my website

My website was created in WordPress, and the domain is from Go Daddy. The site is hosted with Digital Ocean, and suddenly last week, I started getting a 404 not found error across the whole website. I’m not an expert, but the only thing that looks weird to me is that the IPv4 that appears in the Droplet redirects to a completely different website. As I said I’m not an expert sso any help, information or theories regarding why the site is down would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Heya, @sergiopadierna,

Your WordPress website has been hacked. There are two approaches here, restore from a backup and instantly patch everything or contact a security specialist which can help you clean your website.

You should also update your Droplet, all the packages in it if you haven’t as that can be a source as well.
