My current understanding is that all traffic, inbound and outbound, is included in the container registry plans.
However, there is a small note in the console:
“In the future, bandwidth limits will be applied per plan and you may be charged for any overages. For Basic and Professional, overages will be charged at $0.02/GB. Starter has a hard 500 MB storage limit.”
Are there any concrete plans to charge for traffic? If so, when will this start? And how many GB would be included, how much does overage usage cost?

Hey,
I believe that your understanding is correct that currently, all traffic—both inbound and outbound—is included in the DigitalOcean Container Registry plans. This makes it simple and predictable for users without worrying about additional bandwidth charges.
Regarding the notice, for now, this is just a precautionary notice. If DigitalOcean decides to implement bandwidth limits in the future, they’ll provide clear and detailed communication about the changes, including included limits and overage pricing, well in advance.
In the meantime, you can monitor your registry usage via the DigitalOcean dashboard and plan accordingly. If you have specific concerns or use cases, I recommend reaching out to DigitalOcean Support.
