Using GitHub education, you are given a $200 credit on DigitalOcean, but when launching an app it prompts a $24 charge, will that be taken from the credit or do I need to redo setting up my GH Education?

Hey 👋
The $24 you see will be deducted from your $200 GitHub Education credit, not charged to your card.
You can read more about how billing works here:
Also, just to clarify, the $24 you’re seeing is the maximum cost if your app runs for the full month. But DigitalOcean actually bills by the hour, so if you only keep the app running for a few hours or days, the amount deducted will be much less than that.

Yeah, that $24 will be deducted from your $200 GitHub Education credit, you don’t need to redo anything if your GitHub Student Pack is already linked to your DigitalOcean account. You can double-check by going to your Billing, then to Credits tab in the DO dashboard.
If the credit shows up there, you’re good. Just keep in mind the charge might look like a real one during setup, but it won’t hit your card as long as the credit covers it.
Heya, @grime3ja
When you launch an application on DigitalOcean and see a prompt indicating a $24 charge, this amount will be deducted from your existing $200 GitHub Student Developer Pack credit, provided that the credit has been successfully applied to your account. This means you won’t incur any out-of-pocket expenses until your credit is exhausted
