Heya,

Is your SSL certificate a Let’s Encrypt or a paid one?

If you are using Let’s Encrypt, you can SSH to your Droplet and type in the following command:

sudo certbot renew

If your are using a paid SSL, then you need to contact the company that issued it and ask them to renew it. Afterward, you’ll need to apply the new certificate on your Droplet.

Hello @giordanobattistel

If you’re using Let’s Encrypt SSL, then a simple certbot renew will do the job for here. You can follow this tutorial:

https://docs.digitalocean.com/support/how-can-i-renew-lets-encrypt-certificates/

For third-party paid SSLs you will need to obtain the SSL files and then update the SSL files on the server and restart the web-server.

Hope that this helps!

Hey @giordanobattistel

So, if you’re using Let’s Encrypt SSL, renewing it is like a breeze. Seriously, just one command - certbot renew, and you’re all set. It’s as simple as that! You know what? It’s a relief to know your website’s security is taken care of without any hassle.

But if you’ve got a fancy, third-party paid SSL, things are slightly different. You’ve got to go on a little adventure to fetch those updated SSL files. It’s like a treasure hunt! Once you’ve got 'em, it’s just a matter of swapping the old ones on your server. And yeah, don’t forget to give your server a little pat on the back (or restart) to apply the changes.

Anyway, I hope this helps you keep your website safe and sound. Cheers to hassle-free SSL renewal! 🚀
