Question

how to set domain name (django, nginx, ubuntu 16.04)

Now I use public ip to visit my site. I have bought a domain name (eviacatalog.net) on GoDaddy. How can I set it up so I visit my site with eviacatalog.net and not public IP?

First, add your domain eviacatalog.net in the Networking > Domains settings of DigitalOcean.com cloud control panel. Make sure it is pointing to your droplet IP address.

Next, you will need to change the Nameserver settings for your domain in the GoDaddy control panel.

Login to GoDaddy, click on your domain, go to the Manage > Nameservers section, select “Custom Nameservers” and add ns1.digitalocean.com, ns2.digitalocean.com, and ns3.digitalocean.com to the nameserver fields.
