Hello,
I believe that by default auto-updates are disabled. But you can enabled them by following the steps here:
- Go to your WordPress admin area
- Click on Plugins » Installed Plugins
- There you’ll see the list of all your installed plugins
- Next to each plugin there is a button called
Enable auto-updates - Click that button to enable auto-updates
