Question

WordPress config file setup

Hi,

I mistakenly overwrite wp-config.php file and now the database connection is not right. So I was wondering what settings, DB_NAME, DB_USER etc. DigitalOcean’s one-click WP app uses?

If I remember right I did not define those settings by myself when I installed WP on my server.

Thanks.

I ended up with checking all the DB info manually. I’ve no idea why I did not do that before I came here to ask this question. Weird.

Anyway, if someone will face this kind of “issue” the default WP installation uses “wordpress” database and root user, duh.

and if you have as good memory as I have, here is a great step by step guide for changing your MySQL root password: https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-reset-your-mysql-or-mariadb-root-password#step-1-—-identifying-the-database-version
