Question

3cx downgrade from V20 to V18

I have a 3cx problem where the customer had the system hosted on a OVH VPS. The server was deleted, fortunately I have a copy of V18.

Once the system was uploaded to Digital Ocean the system was automatically updated to V20 but with errors. Duplicate emails on extensions so now we cannot access the system.

Anyone with similar issues or answers?

Heya,

What I can suggest here as possible solution and good approach is to perform a clean installation of 3CX V20 on your Digital Ocean droplet. Once installed, restore your V18 backup to this fresh installation.

During the restore process, ensure that you select the option to keep the current configuration instead of applying the backup configuration directly. This can help mitigate compatibility issues.

Hope that this helps!

Heya,

That’s a pickle. I’ve not had similar issues however what you can do is restore the V18 and see if the version will be updated to V20 again.

Additionally, It might be a better idea to contact the Developers of 3cx , they might be able to assist with a more detailed steps on how to resolve this.
