Question

How much will I be billed after credit expires?

Hi,

I’m sure this has been answered, but I don’t know how to phrase a query to see what I need to know.

A bit over a month ago, I created a free account and spun up a droplet with Ubuntu 22.10 1 vCPU, 2GB, and 50GB Disk. I’ve kept it running 24/7, and have only used $8.15 of credit, which works out to roughly $0.21 per day. When my 60 days are up, will I be billed at that rate, or will I need to set up plan? The reason I ask is that my employer has offered to reimburse me, but I need to tell them how much to expect for the ongoing cost.

Thanks!

Hi there,

You will be billed at the same rate as you are at the moment.

For more information you could also take a look at this pricing calculator here:

Hope that this helps!

Best,

Bobby

Hello @markpemburn

The rate will be the same. The monthly costs may increase if you spin up another droplet or deploy more resources or if you exceeded the bandwidth allowance.

Excess data transfer is billed at $0.01 per GiB. Inbound bandwidth to Droplets is always free. To calculate bandwidth costs for your Droplets and databases, use our Bandwidth Calculator.
