I’m looking for a way to automatically clean up old files from my Docker Container Registry.
Currently I’m using the following:
doctl registry repository list-tags myrepo
Then I can delete old tags like this:
doctl registry repository delete-tag myrepo mytag
However, these still take up space. I can use the Digest but how can I find the digests of each image programmatically?
I’ve looked at
doctl registry repository list
But this only gives me the latest tag.

I have resolved this after reading more carefully through the documentation.

By adding the
--include-untagged-manifests
I’m able to remove any untagged manifests without having to specify a digest.example:
yes | doctl registry garbage-collection start --include-untagged-manifests
