How to get long term backups for DigitalOcean's Managed Databases (MySQL)?

The documentation for Managed Databases states backups are only held for a week. I want to keep longer term backups, but can’t make them manually without SSH access which Managed Databases don’t give. Is there a way to get long term backups for a MySQL Managed Database?

What I usually do is use a MySQL backup tool like
mysqldumpfor example. It allows you to export your databases without SSH access.To export a backup you could run the following command:
