I am a student new to development and am building a web app that will serve up collected research data to a dashboard (thinking bootstrap or angular). We have scraped this data in XML form (although JSON is also an option). Is this possible to do with digitalocean? If so do I need a droplet to host the app and a database?
The information will be updated periodically and is mainly quantitative and organized in tables. Originally I was planning on parsing it with python before feeding it to a PostgreSQL database that would be referenced by the bootstrap/angular front end using PHP although I don’t know if that is best practice. Any advice would be appreciated.
