I recently got accepted for the GitHub Student Pack, and received $100 in platform credit. I have selected my GitHub account to login into DigitalOcean my account, but as soon as I made it, I was prompted to pay for my first server(cPanel). Will my bank account be charged from the details I put in to confirm my account or will it use the credits I received from GitHub.
Hope anyone knows! <3

Hello, @FreebiII
If you have a credit into your account it will be used to cover the costs of your droplets.
In our eyes, with $100 credit, you have a balance of “negative $100.” Usage accumulates toward 0 and once past that, a positive balance is an amount owed. So if you start with $100 credit and use $110 worth of service, you have a balance of “positive $10” and you owe $10.
You can use any and all of our services to go toward your usage. Any amount of credit that you do not use within 60 days will disappear. If you continue to have services with us after that 60 days, or after the $100 is used (whichever comes first), continued usage will be billed at the beginning of the next month.
Regards, Alex
I have just registered a Digitalocean account. After submitting my credit card from the form. I was charged 26.41 right away. So what’s happened with my account? It’s said that I have a $200 balance but why did you charge me right away after you got my bank account number???
i get a notification of 100$ free credit but however i can not see anywhere in my account that i got $100 credit? where i can see that?
